Before You Nationalise Rail Mr Corbyn, Will You let Us Know If We Can Have A Mag Lev?

The Labour manifesto was leaked, leafing through it you get to the bit about nationalising the rail industry again.

Although rail tickets are expensive and yes when it comes to bums on seats and rail, at the moment less is definitely more would be a good bit of food for thought, tickets are not going to come down in the foreseeable future.

But my thoughts are if the rail industry was Nationalised it would take a big chunk of money away from lets say having a study of a Mag Lev between Hull and Liverpool.

I can say I definitely need a Mag Lev more than I need Socialism, Conservatism, Liberalism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism,  pretty much anything with a "Ism" in it!

So my tongue in cheek plea to the Labour Leader is, please can you let us know on a postcard or post it note whether a Mag Lev was feasible?

A few months ago a informative article was published in the Hull Daily Mail about a feasibility study into a Mag Lev line from Hull to Liverpool, something I would support.

Hull has actually proposed a monorail for the city in the past, this was a good idea, it's futuristic and fun and would definitely set the city apart and its not a drawn out pipe dream like HS2.

But with a Nationalised Rail Industry under Jeremy Corbyn, it probably wouldn't happen like HS2 mainly because government isn't good at setting these projects up!

Private investment would get the project up and running if there is interest from investors.

Thankfully though I don't think Mr Corbyn will be elected PM, at least for now the dream can stay alive.

The Citadel Still Stands, Was It A Tremor Or A Murmur?

2014 was the year of UKIP, the rise of a protest party and that was about it, nothing really much to shout about.

Most results were already predicted, the slide of the Lib Dems, Labour and the Conservatives losing ground, but still i don't see myself shouting about anything.

All i see is that everyone who stood for election got so blindsided by UKIP and Nigel Farage that they forgot what they were doing and that is to win a election for their party.

Most Townhalls are still standing, UKIP only really took a handful of seats, they didn't take entire councils and in 2015 it is unlikely that they will get any MPs and that is how you judge your success, how many backsides you have on the benches in the House of Commons and in Councils around the country.

UKIP for me have limited appeal, they have limited policies and limited funds and no self respecting business owner would really fund them, i don't think they're fruitcakes in the way they've been portrayed, their election campaign was merely shock and awe when everyone else was hoodwinked into thinking something else.

UKIP remind me of the days of old, the protest vote for the BNP & National Front, two parties with limited appeal and policies, where are they now?

You don't have to be a mathematician to work out how UKIP work, they do the same as any other protest party, work areas of deprivation and poverty, promise the earth and don't deliver.

If your into UKIP i wish you all the best of luck, it's going to be a rocky road to find legitimacy, i don't think i'll be hearing the immortal words of "I vote UKIP because my mum, dad, aunt, uncle, parrot did, so do I!"

Thank You Harriet Harman...

In case you haven't picked up on the news story that is being blasted across the internet, i say blasted, facilitated by the Daily Mail and picked up by bloggers and the like, you would think that Harriet Harman Deputy Leader of the Labour Party was up there with the likes of Adolf Hitler in evilness.

What has this person done, well back in the 1970s Harriet Harman and few other Labour Party Members were apart of a council for civil liberties that supported some dirty old men, which brings the bigger questions, not about kiddy fiddlers but why would a Socialist campaign for civil liberties? it doesn't make sense does it?

Anyway back to my thank you, since Harriet Harman has been dragged through the mud, i've received more support than when i was just campaigning on issues at a local level.

It's not unusual for people to move away from supporting an organization or group of people when something like this is splashed across the tabloids.

In my local area which is supposed to be a Labour Stronghold, a lot of the problems the people are experiencing is that their whole world has come crashing down, everything they believe in has become somewhat a lie, they will get over it.

When i got into politics i knew the score right from the start, i won't be told what to do, i campaign on what i think is right and needs to be changed and above all i listen to local people. I'm not cut from the same cloth as the follow me brigade.

Politics isn't easy and it doesn't help that people who think they know politics actually know nothing about it and should stick to their day jobs and what they actually know.

I'm NO big fan of Labour, i don't agree with their politics and everything that comes with a Socialist Democratic Party, i do think Harriet Harman and cohorts do have some questions to answer.

For Harriet this could be her swan song, either she answers questions or she will be vilified and her career in politics is over. Jacqui Smith her career ended over 2 adult movies on her expenses account from her husband, shows something about the state of the relationships they keep.

Saturday Morning and i can feel a bit smug, for months i had been campaigning on pro growth and please forgive me, i didn't realise how far reaching Social Media can be.

So i wake up to the news that the IMF has decided to look at George Osborne's Austerity Measures and the fact that he might have cut too deep too quickly. Result for me and everyone who campaigned with me.

Saturday evening we see on Sky News that former Chancellor Alistair Darling is talking rubbish about how he knew back in 2010 that Austerity Measures wouldn't work. I see history repeating itself, Alistair Darling didn't know whether the Austerity measures would work or not, all i will say is thank god for data mining, all he was saying is what i had said back in 2010 that Austerity Measures were a one shot deal only good for a year for short term gain. I had actually written it on my at the time very popular blog at the time.
